Good afternoon readers. It’s almost the weekend which can mean only one thing – party time! Its currently 2019 and today’s generation of young adults love to go to nightclubs, have some drinks, and maybe even take a couple photos.
Now, I don’t know if you’ll agree with me but that isn’t really my scene. I like to stay in, read a book and maybe bake a little. That doesn’t mean I don’t like to go out, but nowadays I feel it’s very different.
I’ve been thinking that we should bring back the past. The old time dancing from the 50’s that would radiate in any hall, with the big flouncy dresses and the lack of technology. This might sound cliché but we have to go back! I want to experience those dances just one time in my life.
That doesn’t mean we haven’t already reinstated the past though – every room in my house is like a different era. In my Retro living room I have a beautiful Vintage Mango Coffee Table that I think really captures the 60’s for that funky look.
My Retro dining room is used for every meal time, and this is where I showcase my Vintage Retro Dining Table & 4 Chairs for that laid back 70’s feel – just what I dreamt of. It feels like a museum when I walk through my house, gazing over all the decades and cherishing their most prominent features. Especially my Retro Bedroom Drawers!
I love all sorts of drawers from my Light Retro Mango Bedside Table to my personal favourite, the Recycled Retro Chest of Drawers. There are just so many possibilities, and even though history will never change – the way you perceive it does. Every time I walk into my room the ambience of that classic 50’s look just radiates throughout the room and encompasses me with that classic happy feeling.
Every Friday night me and my friends dress in the big flouncy dresses and have our own party in the past! We put a record on and dance the night away – and I wouldn’t have it any other way, I think we have the best of both worlds.
That’s all for today readers, why don’t you try an old timey dance this weekend?
